There are no legal consequences for those texts. The social consequences include losing his job.

They started defending him for this when Bill Barr was still AG. So when Garland came in he had to either backtrack on what DOJ already decided (bad for long term justice department credibility) or let the Bill Barr line of reasoning play out. They continued to apply the Barr excuses just with minimal effort.
Now that legal action is back on the table, Garland can say this is a different situation and step away from the actions set in place by Bill Barr. They can drop Trump and DOJ doesn't have to damage its credibility by backtracking what Bill Barr started.
So who do they support now? Back to Trump? Greg Abbott? They've got nowhere to go.
I ride BMX for fun. It's evenly split between hour long rides and hour long trick sessions. It feels good to go fast on the bike or to explore what's around the next corner. Yeah I spent 2 weeks on Jerboa unable to post, comment, subscribed etc because the instance I joined was not yet a login option on the app. Still have that issue with every other app.
You can tell the devs are working hard on these apps though. It's a race to get a polished app released before people lose interest in leaving reddit.
