  • to be fair, it is relieving to see that the ping pong authoritarian government has close to no respect internationally. winnie the whining pooh should be memed on a bit more

edit: it's even more relieving to see shing shong ling long ching chong ccp bots in the comments of this post, it shows their desperate need for approval

  • well, that's great to hear. not often we get to see this sort of thing around nowadays

  • Fan-made bloodborne patch allows the game to run at 60FPS on PS5
  • hot take(or maybe it's just more of a shitty personal opinion): but Bloodborne, and consecutively Elden Ring are both garbage fucking games. not only performance wise(which to put it mildly, is a disaster) but also narrative wise. elden ring has the most pathetic story telling experience till date. and is a moronic excuse for a third person adventure game

  • Do you ever plan on monetising this platform?

  • this feature in Infinity For Reddit allowed us to pull to refresh for loading new posts on the homepage, will it be possible to implement something similar for Lemmy?
  • I see. well, the app seems to be coming along nicely anyways. just felt like reaching out about this one last thing

  • doesn't zorin charge you for features that others like Kubuntu hand out for free?

I don't think I'm ever going to install it on my machine

  • also tip: KDE connect can integrate stuff from your android phone into Windows/Linux like a fucking dream. it's been a while since I've used a cable when I have to transfer files between my phone and pc...

it's not just file sharing either. clipboard sharing, notification, media controls, remote input, slideshow cursor, you get the idea right... it's too useful. and it's crazy to me that there's no inbuilt solution from google yet

  • Pirating Microsoft Office 2019 on Linux?

for some background, I'm on latest stable Kubuntu. able to use Microsoft Office via a KVM+Winapps setup currently. it mostly works but there are a few kinks like the display frame getting fucked up when going full screen or windowed, drag and drop being hit or miss and whatnot...

i did read up on Office 2019 being installable using Wine, but wasn't able to find any methods to activate it. MAS isn't really a thing on wine since we don't have Powershell I believe. any ideas?

Any launcher out there that has offline OCR support in recents menu, like the Pixel Launcher?

is there any launcher out there which has got offline OCR support in recents like the Pixel Launcher? Not talking about the Google lens implementation in recents menu here. I uninstalled the Google App from my phone using SD Maid. The custom rom I use(EvolutionX) does have launcher3 as its default(basically identical to Pixel launcher in every aspect, just without that Select/OCR in recents menu, and its got a bit more customisability since it’s open source), but being able to select images/text right from the recents menu without having to connect to the internet was something that I found to be a really powerful tool. miss having it handy whenever I needed it…

scrolling is kind of jittery, is it just me?

I'm on Android 13, May Security patch, AOSP. Rest of the apps work fine, no scrolling jitter whatsoever. Is there any way to fix it, or is it just a "me" problem :(

edit: my phone has a snapdragon 870, 8GiGs of ram and I got around 80GiGs of free storage left
