The closest GitHub issue I could find regarding this would be: https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy/issues/4572
Doesn't seem to relate to site bans, though. Also doesn't appear to be planned in the near future, unfortunately. I agree it would be nice if it emailed the user letting them know.
This is another issue I've been patiently awaiting the implementation of: https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy/issues/4699
It's in the 0.19.5 milestone. It should hopefully help to undo silly mistakes like this in the future.
I like the one that looks like Pringles, yum
I remember the audiobook of Coraline scaring the living bejessus out of me as a kid, way moreso than the movie. I do love the movie though, it's so good
If you scroll to the very bottom of the site, there is a link to the modlog. That is lemmy-wide (ie. everything federated) and you can filter by action and user.
You can also check community-specific modlogs from a button in the sidebar of whatever community.
It goes so hard, I love it
I have so many issues using Teams with a normal headset. I went into sound settings, and turned off exclusive access to the device. I disabled communication devices. I turned off the sync buttons setting in Teams. Yet Teams still loves to randomly unmute my mic even when it's muted from the PHYSICAL button. Makes no sense
Nethack for me. It's nice being able to SSH into the gameserver from practically any computer.
What is the comment in particular? It is possible that someone was sorting by new comments on the front page, which would show your comment regardless of the original post's age. Or it could have been some odd bug, but there is definitely no vote fuzzing on Lemmy.
I have cravings for Uncrustables. I know that you can just like... make a pbj for way cheaper, but they just hit different.
Probably all the added sugar, lmao.
Did you read the study? I mean first of all, the link you posted doesn't directly have the actual study - and the full text link is paywalled.
I was able to find it elsewhere online, and read through it. The adolescents in question were never introduced to hormone treatment. They were eligible and applied due to their dysphoria, but did not go through with treatment at the time of the study. The article is specifically about their experience with dysphoria through puberty. Yes, it discusses how all of the participants experienced some sort of gender dysphoria in their childhood. It even states multiple times that none of them officially transitioned in the first place. The paper is specifically about their feelings BEFORE any medical steps are taken.
It is also a study on both desisters and persisters. It is looking for commonalities between their experiences. The persisters would retain their dysphoria, while it disappeared for the desisters. This is not a calculation of how many people with dysphoria de-transition.
I'm also not sure where "80%" came from, but regardless, your citation is under completely different and unrelated circumstances.
Idk if it's an exaggeration or not to say that Outer Wilds changed my life. I played it years ago yet I still think about it nearly every day. I started learning guitar just to play songs from the game. Highly recommend lol
Hey, I've been seeing LOTS of reports from lemm.ee users about spam on this instance. We've been banning and resolving the reports on our end - but if that makes it difficult for you to find all the spam please let us know. Sadly, marking reports as resolved marks them resolved for others too. I sorta wish that specific function was defederated. Our queue was filled with reports and it was hard to keep track of non-spam without clearing them out.
The joke is that ██████ is trying to ██████ with ██████, but the ██████ keeps getting replaced by ██████, similar to how the ██████ ████████████.
Normally when the same person replies to every comment on a post, they're arguing some dumb toxic shenanigans. But here you are, teaching me about war, FPS game theory, and JFK Reloaded. Much applause to you, sir.
Yeah, I love this movie. Like first of all, Wendigos are dope. I feel like the top three pieces of Wendigo media are: The Descent, Supernatural S1E2, and Until Dawn.
Second of all, well you described it perfectly. The trauma backstory felt deep and impactful - especially with the real ending (not the US one that lines up the sequel).
I still think that scene where Rebecca free climbs across the chasm is the most terrifying part of the movie lmao. No monsters yet and I'm already screaming
I've been playing Starsector lately, that's been pretty fun. Native Linux version too. No launcher required
You wouldn't download the moon
Welp it's July 1st, and I actually had to move from lemmy.world over to lem.ee because that instance is being verryyy overloaded right now, lol.
I'm very new to Lemmy too and I already adore it. I'm really hoping to see lots of the Linux related subs become more prominent over here.
i like birds and i use linux. that's pretty much my whole personality. have a nice day!
