People in their 40s and 50s with no children, how does it feel?
  • 47W. Never wanted kids. I don't miss it. I'm happy when I see my friends' kids but I really don't want one.

I have time for me and I couldn't afford raising one but again, I've never ever felt the need to be a parent.

No one has ever pressured me into having children. People knew I wasn't the the type even when I was a kid. They never questioned my choice not to get married either. So no peer pressure.

  • How often do you change bedding and bath towels?
  • Bath towel, washglove and dishcloth : every sunday.

Bedsheets : every two weeks (weekly during summer when it's really hot).

I live in a very dry region, so I rarely have to worry about mold as long as I let everything dry properly after use (aka, not in a ball). If something start to smell moldy I bath it in baking soda for a day or two then wash it. All clean.

Also check the philosophical/political books cited in the manifesto.

  • What is something you couldn't explain to your parents when were a kid?
  • That. And nonbinarity.

    • "Mom, I'm not girl"

    • "But you have girl parts between your legs, you're not a boy"

    • "Mom, I'm not a boy either. I'm something else. Also I don't want kids and I'm not sexually attracted to anyone"

That was almost 40 years ago. No internet at the time and not categories like ace, enby, etc.

  • What did you buy that improved your life?
  • Not everyone can afford to spend 60-70 EUR each week plus driving and 1.5h to see a shrink. And those who can't afford that are usually the ones who need therapy the most.

  • What did you buy that improved your life?
  • OK but you need money.

  • Why people are boycotting Asus all of a sudden? Asus outrage explained
  • All Asus mobos and graphic cards I owned died.

And as in my IT days we had whole rooms of machines with Asus graphics die too.

I avoid Asus components like the plague

  • Breezy Weather: An open-source, privacy-friendly Android weather app forked from the now-unmaintained Geometric Weather
  • You need to add the IzzyOnDroid F-Droid repo.

I've been using Breezy since it replaced Geometric Weather. It's a fantastic app.

I sends notifications for weather warnings and has a lot of info depending on the meteorological data provider.

I use OSS Weather also as a complement.
