If I were the defense and scummy, I'd reply with an equally disturbing AI avatar of the victim saying that he actually killed himself and that the road rage guy was innocent.
I mean, seems fair.
Ya, it was only ever mildly useful and easy to just unsubscribe.
I'm starting to think this just isn't true. I believe that the average person is just not paying attention. Even the average immigrant family that might randomly have heard / seen trump ramble on about immigration problems.
I think, just like the farmers that suffered with taraffs last time , these people are just on autopilot. They assume america is gonna keep on being "good" and do "the right thing" by them and just punish the deserving (whatever that means to them)
They vote, and they vote party lines without a single thought put into the consequences. Without listening to what was said, or considering what it could mean.
Somewhat related.
I just unsubscribed from the USPS "Informed Delivery" email which used to just send an email if you were getting mail and it would contain the scanned fronts of those mail pieces.
Now you get it every day, and it has ads. Sometimes one, sometimes more. But, you have to look past/through the ads to get to the data, so they just won't get my eyeballs at all.
The new normal (double dipping / selling your data). I wasn't massively invested in Strava so I just left/deleted my account. Added more connections to Garmin and use the feed for social interaction (which I don't do a ton)
Good questions, I'm all in on Garmin for tracking my life by doing everything with my watch, but I too am quite upset with Garmin+ and will have a hard time buying the next Gen watch from them. Garmin is cash grabbing all over. They doubled the Navionics app subscription last year too.
I've been with them since 2013 with watches and am not looking forward to the idea of changing to another ecosystem. Introducing a + subscription has really soured me.
5 years ago I'd probably have recommended Strava but they paywalled me away.
Actual budget, nextcloud
Ya, I'm sure, but I'd bet your odds of being harassed are greatly reduced. That is a special kind of CBP agent that required them to recite that to continue... What a world we're in...
Just be white, and you'll be fine. Kinda like my other advice. Just be rich and you'll be fine.
<Sigh>
YouTube should allow us to do that with the click of a setting. Problem solved...
I have one that doesn't expire for a few years. And the requirement to get a real ID is more work than just grabbing my passport.
I don't understand why if I can fly with my passport, I cannot get a real ID with my passport
They seem to be in the mix along with some budget competitors like Amazfit. Coros is likely what I'd look at hard. I know a few people using them.
Send them feedback, and next round buy a different watch if it sticks around.
I've been here since 2013 (910xt) and own a 51mm F8 AMOLED now. I'll be considering competitors products now when it's update time.
I left Navionics last year (Garmin owned marine navigation app they doubled the annual subscription for).
Well, was skynet what Humans wanted? Or was it bugged and broken which led to the rebellion?
My point is, is it just "skynet" (no additional adjectives required)
It's actually fine... Humorous even

Also they are usually the source of a lot of downstream sites, since they're doing actual journalism.
They cannot do that If they are not there.
When do the TV advertisements for pharmaceuticals stop? Pretty sure during his confirmation he explained how easy it would be and how it would be one of the 100 things he was going to do FIRST THING when taking office.
If 100k people do it could, but ya low expectations for sure
My suggestion is post what you did everywhere people with Garmin watches will see it, encourage others to submit feedback
Well, that truly sucks and could lead to me swapping to another brand if it adds ads to upgrade in my connect app.
I paid a lot of freaking money for my watch and included services.
INFACT I am going to email them my opinion on this and warn them I will absolutely leave in one Garmin recorded heartbeat
Edit: I submitted the below response here: https://www.garmin.com/en-US/forms/ideas/. Not sure that's the best place but that's where I did it.
*This is what I just sent them from their contact page
I switched to Garmin fitness watches in 2013
910xt followed by 920xt, Fenix 3HR, Fenix 5X, Fenix 6X, and now own possibly my last Garmin the Fenix 8X amoled.
I just saw a story about a subscription tier for connect.
- total crap that nobody is asking for
- If I have to see or dismiss an ad for connect plus in my app that will be the beginning of the end of our relationship
- I'm about 90% sure, regardless of ads it will be anyway because it will be hard to convince me that the next set of new watches won't be directly impacted by a subscription tier. At least one feature the watch(s) would have gotten will be pushed into the pay tier.*
This is EXTREMELY disappointing
