Let's discuss: Telltale Games
  • I totally agree with you. They had something special with the wolf among us. I was very excited when they announced the sequel, but sad to hear your news about firing the team.

Tales from the Borderland would be on second spot for me. Following the Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, and Batman. But for the for the last three, I really don't remember much anymore.

  • These things are NOT coming in 1.0
  • Yeah everything I feared that wouldn't come in 1.0 really won't. I am also guessing controller support is not coming(same as modding support promised a bunch of times.)

I would prefer, if they would made blogs as factorio, where we always know what are they working on. Instead of keeping all this secrets and blue-balling us.

I am happy, they made this video.

  • thinking of trying linux,
  • First time I tried switching to linux I went with mint and I had a lot of problems, everything I hated about windows seems to be even worse there. I switched back to windows for a year but last month I gave linux another shot with Manjaro. And I managed to fully switch to linux without any big problems so far. There is a lot to like about it, especially for a linux begginer like myself.

I am not really qualified to recommend it, but my experience as a noob has been great (gaming with linux native games and windows games, watching movies, customizing things, modding games...)

  • What makes a content creator an influencer??
  • I guess all content creators are influencers to some degree. Personally, I feel the word influencer doesn't apply to people I follow. Yet this may be because of me; I find it that ads really don't work on me. And I don't worship internet content creators like some people do.

  • Nexus Mods Fine With Bigots Leaving Over Removed Starfield ‘Pronoun’ Mod
  • Censorship is censorship; I mean, it's their right, but it still stinks. One day they can/will remove all sexual mods for being too misogynistic, etc.

Basically, fuck people crying over pronounces and fuck Nexus Mods.

  • Starfield user score drops to "mostly positive" on steam
  • I understand your point. But, if I take your example of mount and blade. If it's starts off strong with 50 hours of fun, that's a win in my book. But yes, in this regard steam ratings fail, because of binary recommend or not recommend voting. On the other hand, you can see how many hours did the user that posted a review played, so you can kinda make your own decision.

Also, I would like to add that games like dwarf fortress, rimworld, factorio and similar, all start of fun, if you're into this genre….at least for me, they did. Thinking back, I think I never experienced playing a game for X hours having a horrible time, and somewhere in the middle changing my mind. At least from the gameplay standpoint. Maybe sometimes story had some unexpected bump in quality (thank god), but not really core gameplay.

Overall, I agree with you, 2 hours is too little for a complete review of a video game. But these are user reviews that can be helpful as well. For an example, for someone who hasn't that much time to invest in a game to get to the good part. Professional reviewers (or people who have themselves as professional) should play the game for a suitable amount of time, before making an informed review.
