Hands-on: I’ve tried Apple’s Vision Pro and these are the five things to be most excited about - iMore
  • @JiveTurkey @Telodzrum you can connect them to a Mac, wirelessly, and interact with it. And you can use other consoles controllers. PS an XBox controllers are fully compatible. Gaming has not been the focus with the Vision Pro, because the intention is to move beyond that. They can be an amazing working and creative device. But, if you want to play games, iPad games work great in it, and remote play apps too!

  • Apple might soon pay artists more for offering their music in Atmos
  • @tartan @garretble I have the AirPods Max, and it’s really noticeable, but depends on what the sound engineer wanted us to hear, basically.

  • How does macOS manage virtual cores on Apple silicon?
  • @Skelectus @ultratiem yes, that happened. It first worked on residual energy from the board it was on. It was a funny accident actually. They forgot to turn on the power supply, but it was working.

  • A major acquisition is the only way the Apple Car can launch this decade, top insider suggests
  • @DavidGA @ZeroCool Tesla is terribly overpriced, and it’s quality issues can’t be solved easily. It would be easier to create a joint venture with Stellantis (for example), that has the potential to actually make a decent car, and create it with them, even reusing one of their current platforms, to reduce cost and start production soon.

  • The iPhone 13 mini is dead, leaving small phone lovers in a lurch
  • @Deceptichum @fne8w2ah @psycho_driver it might be back as the new SE next year. It’s easier to put a USB-C connector in the mini than in the current SE.

  • iPhone 15 charging cable may be long enough to actually use
  • @IWantToFuckSpez @octalfudge @dan @Windows_95 you know, Apple cables external part biodegrades over time. It’s on purpose, so they don’t stay as waste for hundreds of years. The best thing you can do to keep them from starting biodegradation is to not exposing them to direct sunlight too much. That and storing them properly. They are braiding them now because the braiding can be recycled, and the plastic part won’t biodegrade until they recycle them.
