  • WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange returns to Australia a free man after US legal battle ends
  • The Insurance section on that article is extremely interesting. I wonder if/when we will be able to crack into that potential treasure trove. But maybe it's just 1.4GB of a picture of Julian's asshole

  • Also style
  • It does say they "have" shells in the comic, which is as accurate as saying they have limbs or a head.

  • Take an empty list and add an object to it. Get a list with an object in it.

Take an object and add an empty list to it, that doesn't do anything, get a zero for false?

  • Stonehenge not visibly damaged by protest paint. It's clean and ready to rock the solstice
  • It's possible. And I think it's likely. That the activists wanted this exact news cycle, where they falsely report that there is damage, gaining widespread coverage, and drawing attention their way, only for people to later learn that it was temporary and grow to respect the act.

  • Keep your diet simple
  • Honestly, as a sunflower seed girlie, my mouth got used to that years ago. It doesn't happen anymore. I can go through multiple bags if I want without that happening.

  • I am hungry, but I can't eat.
  • Can we not inject ads as gifs even when they are kinda relevant?

  • Barf.
  • You're right, I'll just switch to eating raw spice

  • Proton is transitioning towards a non-profit structure
  • Being a non-profit is only "unprofitable" in so much as it won't enrich anyone. But they do usually operate in the black. The original owner(s) just aren't interested in selling out/cashing in, so they have reworked the company so that all profits are reinvested into the mission.

  • 1st rule of buddy system
  • VERY modly image

I literally love this description for old degraded/over compressed images

  • Unlike the image, I definitely encourage people to do this
  • Pssh, nah, of course he will run with the same VP from before! Or did something happen to make his VP not trust him for some reason? 🤔

  • Ungrateful Fuck
  • Hopefully with the advent of excellent teen-adult focused animation from the west (especially on Netflix) people will accept that "anime" doesn't mean "cool animation" but "Japanese animation" and the categories can remain clear. Regardless of that opinion, I think this meme belongs here just fine because there is a huge overlap between Anime fans and western adult animation fans, and we don't tend to have western adult animation communities.

That's my take on the issue at least.

  • Just a reminder to never trust Google Translate
  • Out of curiosity, did it change back to the previous bad translation, or create a new bad translation?

  • Fatty liver disease is just self-induced Foie Gras
  • Or duck 🦆 but yes. Damn near broke up with an ex of mine when she asked me if I would be bothered by her ordering foie gras, and then explained what it is.

  • Fatty liver disease is just self-induced Foie Gras
  • I mean Foie Gras is literally fatty liver disease so, yes

  • Saw a nazi today
  • Someone put a piece of American cheese on my exes car once. I thought it might be because of the pagan symbols on it. Took like five minutes to scrape and wipe it off, mostly because it slightly melted despite the low temperatures.

  • euphoric recall
  • Ironically, that is actually the decline:

Factoring in the fact that the civil rights act was passed in 1964, there was a decade (of extreme racism and misogyny) where things looked "up" to certain privileged people. But not by the 80s or 90s

  • Socrates
  • I don't get why you think this is about gender identity. But, fighting for truth is fighting for trans rights.

  • Linux user share on Steam breaks 2% thanks to Steam Deck
  • They probably don't see Proton on any hardware as up to the standard they have for stability and consistent performance across the board, I imagine if it is opened up to anything there will be a lot more edge cases causing problems. I imagine Proton will reach near 100% rate for supported games before they would release it to any hardware, basically when it makes sense to pivot Proton development to deal with edge cases rather than expanding its support, if that all makes sense.
