I think specifically with sarcasm it's an American issue. It's natural to us EU people, we can usually just detect it by instinct.

Yeah I'll give it a go on my machine soon. I only run win in a VM with a gfx card passed through these days anyway just to use some software I have no option for, so didn't really give it too much thought as there is no data on that system worth stealing anyway. But good to hear its oss.

I often took the same approach back when buying a game was a financial consideration. But even though now 4/5 times I already know hat I'm buying and just pay, there are still the 1/5 times I'll pirate first as I'm really on the fence. Due to this I have a few games I ended up completing on pirate, but bought the game (and DLC if relevant) with 0 hours in my library because good work deserves recognition.

Otherwise we risk losing those good developers to other careers or into the AAA meat grinder.

For clarity I'm talking Indy titties here, I doubt I average much above 0.5/year AAA purchases anymore

Edit: actually I'll go one step further. If I pirate your game and hate it, then its delete and forget. If I buy your game and hate it that's a potential negative review, maybe even though me and that title we just a bad fit. This is why demos need to become ubiquitous again

It has been very good & stable over the last few years. I switched because kbuntus ancient kernel caused me issues so I needed something more current, and its worked ever since so I never looked elsewhere. Running Linux isn't a hobby for me, these are my work systems, so I don't hop without a push.

Edit: I've just rolled out fedora 40 and plasma 6 is running great

Been running KDE on fedora for the last 6 years after giving up on everything Ubuntu based back then. Haven't thought to look elsewhere since as its been just fine

But its easy to find, just click the 3 bars next to the connected device and select SMS messages. KDE connect requires the app installed on the device to pair

KDE connect made communicating with the couple people I know who still use SMS bearable

I used to be into weed, so ended up having a bunch of stoner 'friends.' They're really shockingly obnoxious people in general (with exceptions of course) for a group who mostly claimed to be into peace etc. As long as they could be stoned 24/7 they were tolerable, but ask them to do anything and be sober... The price difference between the first 2 models where 8gb ram is the only change, is £200. Post 2025 I'm going to need some solution to replace my windows install which solely runs CAD/CAM software. If it wasn't for this scumbaggery I'd buy a Mac to replace win10, but at present apple are such a shower of cunts I think I may have to put up with win11.
