  • Thanks so much to the mod for organising, and keeping this community going this year. Appreciate all the effort.

Has been great watching everyone's work.

  • Washington Post cancellations hit 250,000 – 10% of subscribers
  • I have not been following this.

So, the headline says that the post is not endorsing a candidate.

And due to that, people are cancelling subscriptions.

Erm. Journalism should not be endorsing a candidate. Only reporting on events in an unbiased manner.

    What am I missing?

  • People in their 40s and 50s with no children, how does it feel?
  • I read your first sentence and after reading it I thought to myself this person sounds like they are wealthy.

Then read your second sentence which indicates you are wealthy.

I suspect that with children you would be happy also, if you are wealthy. Money really does make a difference.

    But who can say?

Anyway, it sounds like things are good for you, so that's great.

  • 24 hours into teaching myself how to draw. What am I doing well? What do I need to work on?
  • If faces are your thing, check out the Loomis method. It's considered the essential method for consistency in head and face drawing. Also check out the Proko videos on eyes, nose, ears, etc.

As an ex professional, full time animator, I'm astounded that a prompt could do that much work. It's impressive.

I have no doubt, that the job as an animator will all but disappear in the not to distant future.

  • Straight men, what's the weirdest thing you've been told you can't do because it's gay?
  • I've always played as her. She was hawt. Turns out I must be gay. Who'd have known.

  • How many users have you blocked?
  • A few. Mostly extremist mods who censor a comment I made that didn't fit their echo chamber. They seem to feel the need to message you after, to reiterate they only allow their views to be expressed, and to flex. I just block em.

  • The 3G network is about to shut down for good, so what will stop working from Monday?
  • Will report back on Monday. On the tram now.

What is the maximum image file size I can upload here?

Whenever I try and upload an image, it does not work.

Somebody reminded me recently that if you resize the image and make the file size smaller, it will work.

I'm wondering if anybody knows what the actual file size is as a maximum that I can upload?

Rather than just wing it, I would like to create a script that will create the appropriate file size.

I don't want to be greedy and use up heaps of resources, but I'd like to find what the happy balance is and make sure it works within the limits of the system.

    Thank you so much.

    Docklands... hmmmm

    Visited for the first time.

What a soulless, almost theme park like place.

I can't imagine living there, walking out of my unit, into the street.... to what?

Plastic fantastic. The complete opposite of what makes Melbourne great.
