First Presidential Debate Megapost!
  • What the fuck are the moderators even there for?

So much time is being taken with, "let me keep talking about the question from ten minutes ago and ignore what you just asked."

Sorry people with children. The question that focused on your issues were just skipped over.

  • First Presidential Debate Megapost!
  • Agreed. He's not putting on a good showing.
Biden is on point for the topics, where Trump is just full of shit, but he needs to slow down. One might think he really is on some kind of speed.

  • Donald Sutherland Dies: Revered Actor In ‘Klute’, ‘Ordinary People’, ‘Hunger Games’ & Scores Of Others Was 88
  • It flies under the radar, but I really liked him as the crooked warden in Lock Up.

  • YouTube is experimenting with server-side ads
  • I wouldn't even mind the ads if they just played maybe one per three or four videos. That would still bring in a massive amount of money without pissing everyone off.
Instead we get up to two ads every couple of minutes.

    It's all about blatant greed.

  • People will find anything to be upset about
  • I've made this exact argument for years.

  • Trump supporters try to dox jurors and post violent threats after his conviction
  • "The group also found posts of the purported addresses of jurors on a fringe internet message board known for pro-Trump content and harassing and violent posts, although it is unclear if any actual jurors had been correctly identified."

This is what worries me most of all. Some (most) of these Trumpers are so unhinged that people who had nothing at all to do with this case could be in danger.

That must be a nightmare for this cat.

  • Those of you that have AmTrak'd cross-country (East-West/West-East), how was your experience?
  • I did Chicago to Dallas and back.
Never again. On the way down I had coach seats only and the trip was about 20 hours. Trying to sleep in those seats was hell.
The moment I got off the train, I walked to the ticketing desk and immediately upgraded to a sleeper for the return. "That will be an extra $400, sir." Don't care, just do it.

The sleeper was slightly better in that I got to stretch out, but actually sleeping wasn't as restful as I thought it would be.

The number of delays while waiting for freight trains was the worst. Before arriving into Dallas, you could see the city. We were 15 minutes away from arriving into the station, but had to sit and wait for about 90 minutes. I could have gotten off and walked and gone back for my bags later.

I did meet some nice people, as you're forced to sit with others in the dining car when you're traveling alone since there's only so many seats. And the food was better than expected. That was probably the only real plus.

This week's Tavern Brawl is named incorrectly - Should be "Your Hand Will Always Be Full"

Yet again, the devs messed up what could be a decent brawl mechanic. By turn 3 or 4, your hand is full for the rest of the match, pretty much guaranteeing that you won't get to play the card you chose. The opponent's hand is also likely full, so they don't receive the cast off card.

Best way to have avoided this would have been to set player's opening hand to zero cards or expand hand size to 12 or 15. With three cards being added to your hand every turn, you will still eventually reach a point where your hand is perpetually filled, but at least it would take a bit longer and you could actually play the cards you picked and/or received.
