Just Works™ technology has a lot of value (assuming the thing does in fact just work).
And that assumption is unfounded in Apple's case. My parents have constant issues with their iPhones that you would never get on Android. But my mom is convinced that it's easier to use than Android despite never having tried Android
Sugar is also acidic. Not enough to kill you, but that's why ketoacidosis kills people. It also increases blood viscosity, making it pump harder and causing hypertension. Plus, it causes chronic inflammation, which calcifies triglycerides in your blood to form clots.
Sugar has tons of negative effects.
Proton as a service provider is still safe despite their CEO being a political twit.
That twit was allowed to use the company's Mastodon account to double-down on his shitty political post
The wealthy Romans deliberately added lead to their wine to make it sweeter
Also significantly fewer roaches. In my experience they're more common in the south due to the warmer weather
Pathfinder 2e literally has bioluminescence bombs that's just jarred firefly juice that's secreted by humanoid fey that resemble the bugs
It's also humans continually expanding and building in previously undeveloped areas. It crowds out other species.
30 years ago it didnt matter if you raked your leaves because there were still plenty of areas for lightning bugs to migrate in from. But when everyone's surrounded by miles of suburbs the lightning bugs have further to go for you to see them

Person in Group: "Hey guys, there's an open-source alternative to Discord that looks pretty good and it might be a good idea to look into it to have an option when/if Discord goes to shit"
Rest of Group: "lol, no"
Not only that, Kodansha is ridiculously money-grubbing in the space. They're continually trying to push for pay-per-chapter monetization instead of a basic subscription model like Shonen Jump does.
Not only that, Kodansha's newest app, KManga, has 21 trackers in it to sell off user data. For context, Facebook only has 9 trackers.
And here's your gun
Those are NFA items. Each one requires a $200 tax stamp (in addition to the sale price) plus you have to fill out a form and wait for it to be processed. Average times are now around 6 days but it used to be several months on average

If you're buying from an FFL anywhere in the US you absolutely are getting background checked. FFL's don't want to open themselves up to more liability than they need to.
The only way you're not getting background checked is private sales from your cousin vinney you suspect is in a gang or your redneck uncle Rob.
That being said, background checks are different from waiting periods. They usually only take 5-10 minutes to get approval. You literally just awkwardly stand by the counter and dick around on your phone while you wait
Fun fact, turtle racing is/was a thing. And it uses painted turtles
Don't forget onion
Tangential fact: syphillis originated in the Americas, likely from llamas. It's the only instance of a transmittable disease to be imported to the old world.
This also makes me a bit annoyed at the show 'Apothecary Diaries" as it depicts syphillis existing in China in the 700AD
Same. I gave Tunic a fair shot until I had to use a guide to get further due to the devs cheaply hiding a teleport gate in the map. Plus the spirit gauntlet was its own bit of bs
Beating people with sticks tomorrow
We know she's over 1000, and Kraft said that she's young
Labybird is currently in development and it's separate from both Chromium and Firefox
Thanks, I didn't know that community existed
TBF, not that different than when they got planes from Poland early on
