  • I hope Nintendon't

Remember that tagline from the 90s? "She's does what Nintendon't"?!

I can't remember what they were doing, maybe allowing blood in Street Fighter 2 and Kortal Kombat but by MK2 Nintendo changed their mind

  • Chicago Bulls fans boo Jerry Krause and make his wife cry during Ring of Honor night
  • He was not portrayed very well in THE LAST DANCE, and it was heavily narrated by MJ. He was to blame for breaking up the team, but it wasn't that simple given the contracts and aging team.

Kinda what's going on with the Warriors right now.

  • People who bought obscure emulators; what was your experience like?
  • In the 90s, my cousin had a Super Wild Card, an awesome device that you put into the cartridge slot of your SNES that allowed it to play games off 3.5" floppy disks. Every time I go over to their apartment I would play all day long.

  • The horrible morals of a show supposed to teach them
  • The writeup on Section 31 is very good and was following along until you listed almost every couple on DS9 being in toxic relationships. Maybe you're confusing relationship conflicts with toxicity? Maybe I don't know what toxic means.

I'm pretty good at seeing different sides of an arguement, but you'll have to do a lot more convincing on Kira/Odo, Jadzia/Sorf, Sisko/Jennifer/Kassidy being in toxic relationships. These relationships work for me because they are trying to overcome cultural and professional challenges. One character might not budge on something but overall they try to work things out.

  • I died. This made me laugh for 5 minutes. I couldn't breathe.
  • I feel the same way. The writers do such a good job integrating ST lore that it just really displays their knowledge and respect for the universe.

Off the top of my head:

    • random references to made up Star Trek words and concepts, like Ponfarr and Chadeetch (I'm not looking these words up)
    • getting to revisit 1 off species. Everyone loves the metaphor aliens (TEMBA ARMS WIDE OPEN) so it's fun to bring them back and poke fun. It's basically the Airplane scene ("Excuse me miss, I speak jive.")
    • Characters are very aware of various ways to die as red shirt

    It's a fun show

  • Peter Molyneux says he regrets over-promising his games
  • Being able to say this out loud is a big step. +1 emotional maturity. +1 admitting he's got a problem.

I'll not deny that he has passion, but someone really should have reigned him in. It only hurt the game when it inevitably never delivered. Who comes up with game features on the spot to the media? No respect for the people who actually have to make the game, sheesh.

  • ChatGPT's Top 25

So I asked ChatGPT for a list of the best players. I ran it 3 times so see if its opinion would change. For the most part, the list remained the same, with KG and Dr. J making an appearance on the 3rd list. The order seemed really locked in, only a couple of players moved around. Hakeem moved into the top 10 kicking Kobe down on one list. The top 7 never moved.

The only one that I would move up would be Bill Russell, seeing as how he 11-peat’d with the Celtics.
