  • It'll be the year of the Linux desktop!

  • Looking for a music server
  • I like the Ultrachrome CSS mod. It doesn't massively change the interface - but it looks a bit nicer imo

  • Most Efficient and Safe way to install Windows 10 on a old notebook at the moment?
  • I mean linux is a better bet. Less bloat so it'll run better.

Otherwise, you can install windows 10 LTSC, use massgravel's activation scripts and use some anti-spyware tools such as windows spy blocker for the peak windows experience.

  • Ultrakill dev says it's fine to pirate his game if you don't have money to spare: 'Culture shouldn't exist only for those who can afford it'
  • It's ironic that when a dev says its ok to pirate their game, I feel a greater urge to purchase it legitimately. Maybe it's because you have to be a certain level of cool to say that.

  • Why Do You Pirate Music?
  • Youtube and spotify do not offer lossless codecs. I prefer using tools like qbdlx and deemix but not all music can be found on said services. That is where torrents come in.

  • "LiNuX uSeR iNsTaLlInG A BrOwSeR haha" meanwhile :
  • Editing the registry is also potentially dangerous and I have had to reinstall windows more than once because of it.

  • What does a post-piracy world look like?
  • Game piracy is currently in a precarious position, given how difficult it's become to crack denuvo. Games without denuvo still release very often, but especially in the AAA space, piracy is definitely slowing down

  • What's your most treasured data?
  • Mostly old projects of mine like artwork and games

  • Finally back down to 14 tabs, still too embarrassed to show anyone
  • I use multiple windows for multiple purposes. When I'm done with one of the windows, I shut it down. I find it to be a decent organisational method, although I still end up with about 20ish tabs regularly

  • thanks for the transition, Emacs
  • Perhaps I'm a satanist

  • Users with personal music libraries, how do you decide what to download?
  • I read reviews from some music review websites. I also get recommendations from friends. Occasionally, I might go shopping for new music on youtube

  • Music streaming for BSD
  • I can personally vouch for Qobuz as they usually have the music I'm looking for. Deezer is also a really popular option. Idk if they have all that drm stuff or not. Ofc YT music exists, but they don't have lossless audio

  • crash in Ubuntu GNU/Linux
  • 1gb?! Is this some kinda futuristic alien tech?
