  • Sure. It's just that I determined the same effect could be achieved by a preprogrammed cycle of ventilation and misting - no closed loop needed, as the conditions in the cultivation chamber do not vary enough to warrant the setup.

  • Funny enough, I also used Sensirion sensors for mushroom cultivation, even had a mobile dashboard using MQTT dash.

After a couple of years, I went back to basic "gardening" to focus on the essentials, but it was interesting for a while. Unless going commercial, I do not consider the sensors to have added significant value beyond providing an interesting side project.

  • It might also be the other way around. There are plenty of people who are really introverted, so social engagement still drains their energy, but while it's happening, they can be/appear extroverted, charming, outgoing, sometimes at exponential extra cost.

The difference between intro- and extraversion is not simply the ability of a person to talk to others, their (perceived) "shyness" etc., but also encompasses how they regenerate, what and how much stimulation they prefer and what kind of company they need and enjoy.

  • I have absolutely done that in the past, and I would do it again in a heartbeat. I can slice off exactly how much I want, getting a good feeling for the portion size. The noodles stick together, there is no unfurling and subsequent mess when transferring them to a dish. They'll loosen up a bit when heated, but stick together enough to offer a superior eating experience - just cut a piece off and consume.

  • You're getting a lot of downvotes, which I think is related to the audience you're talking to (computer and game affine) and the fact that Minecraft is generally considered a kid friendly game, so what's the harm?

That being said, it has zombies, creepers etc. and a 5yo can definitely get scared by it. I've seen it happen.

However, I believe any unattended screen time at age 5 to be a much bigger issue in general. The AAP / AACAP recommends a maximum of 60 minutes a day of screen time at that age, and that includes the combined total including TV etc. Many European institutions advocate for a limit of 30 minutes (the AAP recently increased the limit in their recommendations).

Minecraft is a game suitable for kids, but unsupervised media consumption is definitely not a thing at age 5.
