Ironically, the Chevy Bolt was a perfect car for that. Reasonably priced, no stupid gizmos like retracting door handles, Android Auto, actual buttons for controls... But of course GM killed it. A new version should come out eventually, but who knows if it'll keep the spirit of their old Bolts. For now, the used market hit the sweet spot where it's still a pretty modern car, but it's gone through most of its depreciation from new so it's pretty cheap. Especially with the tax credit.
Full disclosure: DC fast charging sucks on this car. On some pre-2022 models it's non-existent. But it's still excellent for commuting and medium-short trips!
What is that even supposed to mean? I go to Target, buy some soap, and go home. Somehow that's fraud?
I'm not saying Target or any other corporation is free from their issues... But fraud isn't necessarily one of them.
I had the usual uneasiness you'd expect from a new manufacturer in the auto industry of all things - that's a big bag to hold if they go under and some part goes bad in 8 years. Then there was that vlog or whatever when he was smoking cannabis. Like, I have nothing against the stuff, but what kind of statement are you trying to make? That you're super edgy or something? I just had a really bad feeling about him from that. Then he started talking about taking Tesla private and shares went a little nutso for a bit. I think he got fined for that?
Anyway, maybe not a moral line in the sand but enough to give me the heebie-jeebies which turned out to be spot on for once in my life.
Many would be upset that the great Elon didn't get what he wants to save Social Security. 🙄
They do realize he's only a few years away from a heart attack or stroke anyway?
My daughter qualified for social security due to her low birth weight. The maximum weight for that is 2 pounds, 10 ounces (1.2kg). She was born at less than half that. Does that mean we'd have to bring her over while she was in NICU for 4 months and on a ventilator? For $30/month of benefits?
What state are you in? Some states have a free ID for voting purposes. Don't get me wrong, it's still shitty that you have to go through that but see if yours is one of them
Looking around Roku's site, I found this email address: AdsPR@roku.com
I'm planning on giving them a brief but firm "oh hell no" letter. I wonder how many others will do the same 🤔
Fuck clickbait headlines like this.
Either all toilet seats need to be soft close, or none of them.
An apology would be nice, but do you really need to explain to the server that you still haven't received your food? I think they know that
How does telling someone about a problem they're already aware of help you?
Strip malls with O'Reilly Auto parts, Chick fil A, and some insurance agent... All next to Walmart, is culture. Just not very inspiring.
Have you looked into bone conduction headphones? I've had a set for about 3 years now and it's still going strong. It has its pros and cons for sure, but I'm a huge fan. Mine is the Openrun Pro by Shokz. Maybe a hair beyond your budget, but should last really well for you
I mean, that's step 1? It's not like they can do an instantaneous cutover, they'll need to figure out what's vital enough to deserve buttons, come up with a design/layout for that, find a supplier for them, get them in, start assembling the cars with them... Honestly they've probably already done a lot of that behind the scenes already before saying anything publicly. Point is, it's not like there's a button in the factory to start making cars with buttons instead.
they said, 'Can you imagine? I'm [you're] not going to be president [for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics]. And that's too bad.' And what happened is, they rigged the election [in 2020], and I became president [again in 2024]
Absolutely referring to 2020 here. No doubt whatsoever.
(To be clear, claims of 2020 fraud are bullshit... But so are claims of 2024 fraud)

And now you're taking a page from the anti-vax movement. No. I don't prove your points, you do that yourself. Should be pretty easy if it's so clearly happening.

I borrowed a bunch of tables from friends for a garage sale last weekend, and gave them back yesterday.
My daughter just took a full bottle - her second in a row. Then she fell asleep in my arms. Feels good .
