  • So sometimes there is good news and we can smile a little

  • Germany has a similar problem with it's main railroad service provider being a profit oriented company. Railroads don't necessarily make money or turn a profit. Instead they protect from damages by other means of transportation. That's my take on the matter, I'm sure I left many points unaccounted for

  • If only there was a way to move goods across a country that used steel wheels and renewable energy

  • If you were saving it. Actually you would be investing it so no need to actually save up 1 million. 30 years is on the optimistic side though. The more common problem seem to be low wages, as those leave nothing to be safed (for 30+ years) at the end of the month.

  • I use SyncThing with obsidian on Android, window and linux and can confirm. Setting it up is straight forward my only issue is that it doesn't merge files. If a file is edited on two devices that can't be synced (one is offline while the other one edits the file for example) it turns the older edit of the file into a copy and takes the newer version for both devices. Depending on your use case it could not be an issue for you at all though.

  • As far as I understand Markdown is a syntax standard used for that kind of note taking or article writing

  • No experience as i don't trust the concept. The Internet never forgets, no way they can change that

  • With the SATA acronym it seems to have trouble resolving the AT, so I became curious. Here's what I've found:

"AT" was IBM's abbreviation for "Advanced Technology"; thus, many companies and organizations indicate SATA is an abbreviation of "Serial Advanced Technology Attachment". However, the ATA specifications simply use the name "AT Attachment", to avoid possible trademark issues with IBM.

  • I think it's mostly about convenience. Most people don't care enough and have only learned how to install chrome (if it isn't preinstalled)

  • Very nice to see a post about positive developments

  • That's good news, hope the project doesn't fail because of Deutsche Bahns overloaded rail network

  • Setup automatic security updates with unattended-upgrades. I don't know alot about your security expect for the fact that outdated applications are more vulnerable.

  • Living in a city with many bicycle lanes along major streets, the toxicity of exhaust gases worries me and doesn't come as a surprise. Sucks that most people don't know or care about that

  • Thank you for the recommendation, if a product delivers what i expect for it's price I'm gonna be using it. The trial searches will hopefully help me evaluate that

  • I felt that change. Everytime i used it the results in the suggestion box had nothing to do with what I was searching for.

  • I use option 1 with Syncthing for a distributed cloud solution

  • Wie gut, dass man die Bradauslöser so schnell gefunden hat \s

Hab es im Blog Post nicht gesehen, aber gibt es mittlerweile eine offizielle Brandursache?

  • I find it fascinating that AI development provoked the question of how our thoughts actually work and am curiously awaiting the results.

  • Ob die Neuigkeit dazu führt, dass das Problem ernst genommen wird?
