Yeah, I'm sure this explanation will renew people's faith in the legal system.
The premise was that there really isn't a historical equivalent. The analogy being shit is kind of the point.
Like I said, hard to find a historical equivalent. Like which side would you compare the execution of landlords? The north paid the slavers restitutions instead.
That is a much better example. I will borrow this for the future. Thank you.
It's hard for Americans to think of a historical equivalent. Imagine if Texas managed to splinter off and join the UK common wealth during the Civil war.

I'm old and autistic and not confused by the fact trans women are women. Hope that helps.
Should run against a giant guillotine. Something tells me the guillotine would win the popular vote.
It's CYA boilerplate for breaking the law. Never have I sent a work email that needed to say "as long as it is consistent with the law" because that is already assumed.
After 2 weeks I think they would say something if they had something, and even then...
This dumb ass thinks he has a change to become president after doing nothing substantial to address the devastating LA fires. Does he think he's going to be popular outside California?
He doesn't need to switch parties though, the leadership is on board with throwing trans women under the bus and approving GOP spending bills.
Too bad the other posts where people took the time to explain to you that the CCP isn't what you claimed it was, has been removed.
Article is like, didn't make enough to save for retirement? How about you start saving now?
Retirement in America is going to involve cat food for many.
Yeah, he has the political experience to know when to throw his party under the bus. My mom has been voting Democrat for 40 years, somehow that CR vote is what convinced her to go 3rd party next election. Only someone with that much political experience could have pulled that off.
I think it's the other way around. The executive branch has signaled it will ignore the courts. If SCOTUS makes a ruling that Trump would later ignore, then the public perception will be that the courts have no power. If they go along with Trump, they at least get to preserve the facade.
That is the definition of liberalism but that is not the loved experience of unhoused people in the USA. If you are unhoused there are a lot of moral judgements that come along with that.
Harder? Being queer and unhoused can be pretty damn bad in the states. In China your boss might say something bad but you don't have to worry about being homeless.
But those are for hire. Unlike American Democracy, the CCP can't be bought.
