I don’t understand why Elon chose to go mask off. He could have continued pretending to be a sane if eccentric person. I am glad he did but I don’t understand the motives.
Remember when the Simpsons had Lisa sing his praises?
He went mask off after having his sexual misconduct come out. Real easy crowd to stay good with when that happens.
There needs to be a conversation about how open-minded the Right is, but only when it comes to accepting people you wouldn't trust with your children.
That's a very good point. The two events definitely line up.

It refers to his flight attendant getting a horse in exchange for sexual favours.
That sounds a little more innocent than what the actual claims are. According to the friend of the flight attendant, when she was massaging him normally, he surprisingly uncovered his penis, touched her and offered a horse for sex. She didn't agree with any of that and rejected the offer.
If they had just made a deal normally I wouldn't see an issue.
The even worse aspect is this was while she was trapped on a plane with him during a flight.
Must have been awkward for the horse on the plane too

I think it's just that having a mistress at all is generally frowned upon these days.

Sexual misconduct?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I feel like covid and him wanting to keep his factories open was when his mask came off completely. People on the right cheered him on, and those on the left finally realized that he isn't a good person nor cares about people.
This then caused a cycle. The left was "mean" and the right celebrated him even more.
Elon, and any other obscenely rich and powerful person for that matter, is just as flawed as any of us. They are not immune to dogma, disinformation and self-delusions. In fact, it may be the case that they are more vulnerable because power and wealth go to your head and you can use them to manifest your delusions, making them seem even more real.
Also, he's a jackass.
But rich and powerful people have the budget to afford social media managers to curate a beneficial public image for themselves. The smart ones know not to make public statements for themselves.
