FNAF is something that I've always thought is enjoyed by 9 year olds. I didn't realise that the series has existed for almost a decade now. The kids who grew up with FNAF are now in their late teens and early adulthood.
It's a children's horror game series that became popular because it has a lot of jumpscares and makes for ideal content for streamers. It spawned dozens of spin off games and a movie is coming out soon I think.
Yeah, I just didn't realise that the "first generation" of FNAF fans would be adults now. I guess I know how people feel about my generation when the first wave of pokemon fans became adults.
