At least in this story Aristippus is gaining something tangible, and presumably he was eating bread and lentils before he sucked up to the king. In Zuck's story, before licking the orange butthole he already had everything. He had to taste spray tan and dingleberries to make his imaginary numbers say something slightly different on paper without changing anything about their impact on his life.
It's impressive and also a little bit depressing how accurate that quote is from almost 2,500 years ago. Shows humanity really doesn't change.

That's why it's so pathetic: he doesn't have to. If Bernie Sanders were elected, a wealth tax implemented, etc, Meta would still exist and his quality of life wouldn't change at all. He chooses to suck up to Trump, which is about as "small dick energy" as you can get...
Yup, and all so he can get even richer.
For some, human pride and dignity have literally no value, or is something they will hold simply to trade it off whenever convenient, especially in a world that can value it, so it’s just like a commodity.
The whole road to the top is lined with asses to kiss. Why would Zuck stop now?
