iirc, Villeneuve is planning to make a trilogy of these two films plus Messiah.
I'd heard that, but not whether he'd gotten any produced onboard.
Dune 2's gonna make a ton of money, I bet he's greenlit for Messiah already.
It's the next in the series, and Anya Taylor-Joy was brought in for a 30 second cameo in the latest one (as a character that presumably plays a bigger part later on), so yeah I think it's safe to assume they're going to keep going.

It's worth reading Messiah to (mostly) conclude Paul's character arc.
