Thousands marched in Berlin to reprise demonstrations questioning government-imposed measures at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Participants also voiced opposition to Germany's push to rebuild its military.
The protest faction, best known for staging demonstrations against COVID-19 pandemic restrictions, was calling for a reassessment of government measures and "consequences for those responsible."
However, a large contingent also protested against the German government's push to rebuild the country's military.
I'm on my 7th day of COVID. It's my 2nd day of mild body aches, elbow pit rash and non stop snot. Yeah, March out there you bastards! Show them who's the boss!
Fuck you you horrible human beings my family member and a friend died of COVID and COVID permanently disabled both me and my mother. Me severely so, completely bedridden.
I fucking hate these unempathetic douchebags who think everything is about them.
Oh may, i walked for a lady who couldn't walk 5 steps without being out of breath. She had covid 2 years ago and was still miserable. Her biggest takeaway was: at least i didn't get vaccinated.
I would never talk to people about their vaccine status and shit like that, but so many people have told me that they got vaccinated, but would never do it again, because of some tinfoil shit. A few people told me that "not enough people died in the pandemic, so the government has to push another one." The next sentence is something that they need more people for "the war" that's why they vaccinate people. It's just some convoluted bullshit and a mixture between 7 conspiracy theories. We are truly fucked, and honestly maybe that's a good thing.
Man it fucking sucks people care so much about not vaxxing. If they vaxxed my family members may still be alive…
And don’t get me wrong vaccines are good, but they don’t perfectly protect you.
I had 3 shots and I’m still bedridden from Long COVID. My childhood friend had 2 shots and he still died.
But if it can reduce the death rates and most importantly reduce the spread, you’d be dumb not to get it.
And now because I have long covid afterb3 shots, every right wing nut in my family is saying I’m sick “because of the vaccines” 🤦 (if they even believe im sick at all)
there were several violations of the requirement not to display posters referring to the magazine "Compact," which Germany's domestic intelligence service had classified as right-wing extremist
Participants also voiced opposition to Germany's push to rebuild its military.
I always thought right wing leads to strong man tactics and increased militarism.
I think most people are wising up to the fact that there were really concurrent pandemics.
The first pandemic was the 2019 SARS-CoV-2 (Coronavirus) outbreak. The existence of which was self-evident, measurable, and unavoidable (up to a point).
The second pandemic was the mass looting of public/private resources that corporations used the cover of the first pandemic to excuse themselves for. This pandemic was allowed to happen by ineffective (at best) or colluding (at worst (see: USA, Trump admin.)) governments around the world.
Most people see these are one event when in reality they were two. It's also in the perpetrators of the second pandemic's best interest to keep people believing that they were the same event.
No they aren't. They wre probably still protesting "the state made me wear a mask that one time" or "my conman of choice told me all vaxxed will die by september 2022 why are y'all not dead yet" or some stupid conspiracy they pulled out of their ass in the meantime. Above poster got no clue what they're talking about.
I believe that's probably the real reason, yes. I doubt that this many people are still upset about being asked to stay home for a few months and get a shot. What they're mad about is what happened immediately after COVID, when they did everything they could, only to have had their livelihoods taken from them by opportunistic corporations and the elites while it was made literally illegal to speak out against it.
For the most part, people would've followed lockdowns without much protest if they had been taken care of and things were "still where they left them" when it lifted, so to speak. Most people struggle with critical thinking and are confusing correlation with causation.
If people want to protest peacefully about whatever, that is fine with me even if they are just digging for reasons to protest. Some people just like to get mad about everything. What a waste of epinephrine.
