  • Had consultation this past week for vaginoplasty surgery. I have started laser in the genital region towards hair removal for the surgery. I am giving myself an entire year for laser and then an additional 6+ months for electrolysis follow-up, just because I want to be certain about hair removal.

I keep having difficulty with my sense of being a woman, and this makes it hard to be consistent with voice training. It also causes me to feel doubts about vaginoplasty, whether it's worth the suffering. I feel sometimes like I could just live with it, but other times I feel that would be inhumane to myself.

  • Too fucking hot, and thanks partly to my Spiro and SSRI I take, I have less than zero tolerance to heat or humidity. We're currently having both...

    • ugh, that's no fun

Spiro sounds like a pain in the ass, tbh - I know Mia Violet (author of Yes, You Are Trans Enough) speaks positively about it, but most people I know IRL don't recommend it.

      • That's interesting! I've not had any issues on my end. I've honestly been super thankful to be on hrt this summer- it's been sooo hot, but I feel like I'm running so much cooler now. I've never slept this well during these months; always used to wake up soaked in sweat 🥹

  • It's hot, I hate it. Experienced jealousy seeing a woman in a sundress(?) yesterday while getting lunch. Looked cute and comfy.

Had a thought along the lines of "masculinity is attached to me, I am not at all attached to masculinity", as well as the usual thought of "if my junk just fell off or vanished overnight I'd be pretty content".

  • Got my wisdom teeth removed. Not the most pleasant thing in the world. On the bright side my STP packer came in the mail and it's been euphoric to practice standing peeing. Still waiting for the harness to arrive.

A mouse ran over my feet over breakfast this morning 😬. Can't state how anxious I am to leave here. Just one more month.

    • Woo, wisdom teeth! For me that meant a lot less pressure on the rest of my teeth, recovery wasn't great but not horrible.

Sounds like you're getting out of where you are; texas if I remember right? Or was it living with family? Either way, grats!
