More often SG1 found themselves on the other side of the prime directive, tantalizingly close to a new technology but unable to get the species to share it.
The Asgard really came through for us after we saved their butts from the replicators a few times.
The Asgard were real bros.
I haven't watched stargate in years but we were always one of their #1 special boys, right? Something like that I think.
Sometimes they tried not to interfere, but the hero complex was too strong.
