Yea I remember the "China Virus" remarks a certain felon made.
There was a lot of anti-Asian hatred.
My ancestry is Chinese, I'm a US Citizen living in the US.
And the felon is gonna be president again...

- Well they are. Even Fauci started backtracking on the virus having animal origins.

So every other instance of “we investigated ourselves and found no wrongdoing” is to be called into question, but we just gonna accept this because?
- The latest analysis, which has not been peer reviewed, includes data from the whole genomes of 56 new betacoronaviruses, the broad group to which SARS-CoV-2 belongs, as well as some partial sequences. All the viruses were collected between 2004 and 2021.
  Still a developing story, so it's not conclusion i guess.
  
  Even if it was peer reviewed there's no means to ensure the input is meritable. The sample set was determined by governance. The implied conclusions were predetermined.

Why are we still doing this?
- Because Donald Trump is about to start slinging shit from the highest office in the land again

  Facts do not matter to bullies, just tell him he is fat when you get the chance and go on.
- I mean, this is the time to investigate the standards of containment practices in viral research labs and start pointing fingers if they need to be pointed.

Chinese culture places undue importance on saving face at all costs.
If this was at all true, it would have been put out in February 2020, not in December 2024

  Yeah true, it would have been November 2019. I picked Feb because it was when things started getting out of control.
  I blamed them then and decried how they suppressed evidence and news then, and I decry it now.
  Lets also not forget that their "Sinovac" is actually "CanSinovac" as it was only possible for them to produce it at all thanks to Canadian lab work.
- It's weird how anti Chinese racism is just accepted to the point some bigoted censored can just say "Chinese culture XYZ" and expect to be taken seriously.
  
  The "saving face" is am especially weird one, because no one anywhere likes to be embarrassed.
