Aluminum rims and clincher tires ad from 1894

I didn't think aluminum rims or clinchers were a thing all the way back then.

WOW! $100/bike!!!!
1894-nowadays that's about $3-4k. Granted a very very nice bike that's around par, but most bikes are wayyyyy cheaper

I guess before mas production of cars, bicycles were the aggressively marketed luxury consumerist product.
