Kind of. I don’t want to give a ghoul much credit, but he did 2 treatments and was told that he might see a benefit if he did more, but he got cold feet. For how obsessive he is about his goal, if there was no morality then he probably would have pushed forward.

When I was living and working in a very poor area I knew many people who sold plasma as often as they could. They would talk about it with excitement: the waiting period was about to be over, and they could spend part of their weekend having essential parts of themselves extracted for $200.
It was so common, and it just gave me this overwhelming sense of dread. The worst part was that no one ever talked about how exploitative it was, they were just glad to have the cash.
