We are excited to announce that F-Droid has been awarded $396,044 from the Open Technology Fund’s FOSS Sustainability Fund. This grant is specifically designed to support free and open-source software (FOSS) projects in addressing long-term sustainability challenges, and we are honored to be among the recipients.

They deserve it

I like F-Droid, but does anyone else find that the versions in their repos often lag behind the current release (sometimes significantly so)?
- Yes, that's expected due to the way F-droid works. Check the build system to see the status.
- Yeah it's pretty normal for them to lag a couple days behind
  
  Couple of days, or even a week or two is fine, it's when they are months behind it can become a problem.
  
  I wish they had a way to expedite security updates.
