Wings in invertebrates developed differently from those in vertebrates. Yes, vertebrates' wings developed from their forelimbs (birds, bats, etc.), but invertebrates' wings are a separate system entirely. Hence ants have 6 legs, whether they have wings or not.
If that were true, wouldn't the bane of arthopods enchantment deal extra damage to the dragon?
They should add it, it would make the enchantment actually usefull.
I like to keep one around if i need to clear an abandoned mineshaft. Sometimes its worth it as a way to reroll your enchants while still getting something you can use early on.
