What tv streaming platforms are you on?

What tv streaming platforms are you on?
Now I just need recommendations. Got anything new and exciting?
Jellyfin
I've not heard of that is it American?
I would say it has no geographical barriers nor DRM or other restrictive approaches.... LOL
its a self host stream platform, you provide, trough more or less legal ways, the content and jellyfin let you watch it over the network.
Its like Plex, but free and without a company (so no end vitrification) backing it.
It's a selfhosting software like plex.
Stremio + Real Debrid = bliss
I've canceled them all and run Jellyfin and IPTV.
Got so sick of paying for literally six of them and still not finding the movie we wanted to watch.
Free ones from my public library. They're surprisingly good but there's no trashy reality tv shows or whatever. Mostly wholesome documentaries and classic movies.
Also the state-owned broadcaster in my country has a decent one, although ad-supported.
These days, the only ones I stay permanently subscribed to are independent platforms: Dropout and Nebula. They're both cheap, entertaining, and they feel like responsible companies trying to make a positive change in their industry.
For all the others, I subscribe on a month by month basis when there's something specific I want to watch. I try not to have more than one active subscription at any given time.
I rotate through them depending what I want to watch, but the one I always stay subscribed to is YouTube Premium.
None.
Plex.
Edit: I just remember I also have nebula, curiosity stream and an unhealthy amount of patreon subscriptons. Though that's not exactly "TV" I guess.
Stolen Netflix on my TV, 123anime.info on my phone browser. Totally legit. With a good adblocker, of course.
Region is Canada. TV is connected to an AppleTV and a media server. Forced to use mostly apple stuff for various reasons.
Free and generally ad-free Apps:
For self hosted media files I access a SMB share with the Infuse app for a full video player experience. It’s the only subscription I pay for an app, worth it.
Left Netflix last year. Left Prime this year. It’s all shit sandwiches over there.
none. We watch discs.
All glory to physical media!
Can't agree more :)
RaiPlay! It's the online version of Italian public TV and has a lot of good stuff on it, though it can be a bit finicky on some smart TVs
I think that this post should give you a hint: https://lemmy.xaetacore.net/post/985 Also hope that it helps people that do use these methods automate their setup :)
Stremio
I've got now and Disney. Disney has loads of sitcoms so it's permanent but other streaming platforms I rotate round. Before now it was Apple
Disney and Amazon. Fuck Netflix.
thepiratebay.org, if it's popular, its guaranteed to be on there.
Unless its some interactive films BS like a certain black mirror episode
(make sure you have a VPN)
All 3 seem equally fuckworthy.
Fuck this shit, i only support diarrhea and vomit.
I just have Netflix and Jellyfin. I figure I'm paying for streaming, if producers want my money they can get it from Netflix.
