Did it get an ending or was it cancelled abruptly?
Literally can’t be bothered to start a show that doesn’t have an ending already. Why invest any time with a show that doesn’t give a shit about the story and just wants to make money and cancels the moment profitability is gone.
Yeah studios hate this because they want to know how invested people are to know if they should continue. However they made the problem themselves by cancelling so many good shows.
Netflix leaked that if something isn't crazy popular after season 1 it won't get picked up again, which is asinine because we all know so many shows don't get their legs until season 2 or 3
But to be honest if the story gets good after 2 or 3 seasons the amount of people watching will still be smaller than the first season. I've been so turned off by the WoT series on Amazon, when people said the season 2 is better than season 1 I still didn't have the energy to watch it.
Then I'd have to sit through the second season again. I almost stopped watching the show after that season. It got much better again after and saved itself.
First season isn't bad, it's a little more grounded in reality. As a person who watched it when it premiered, it was something new and wild, but it's definitely tamer, and also as someone mentioned, does not have the craziness of Danny Devito.
The vampire show? I never could get into it, even after watching several seasons, and thoroughly enjoying the actors' skill levels. But that theme song... I have it on my music player. It's so good!
I have never been able to watch something more than once. The only movie that I can watch more than once is Pacific Rim, because big robots and the story flows so well you don't realize you're already at the end of the movie.
