Rage Against the Machine's Zack de la Rocha was spotted at a march on Washington in support of Palestine, one day after skipping the band's Rock Hall induction.
my brother is a fucking trumpturd and listens to rage, I never understood it. I asked him if he even realized they are against literally everything he stands for and he’s like “so what I like the music” shrug
I believe him. I heard a lot of music and i read a lot of books i don't agree. For a Trump fan a classic leftist is better than a liberal. And RATM are really good.
Yeah, big disagree there. I would say the main reason trump supporters want to kill liberals is because they have been told that the liberals are secret leftists.
I don't know in america, but in europe, old school communists are much less hated than liberals by the right. The problem is mostly one here, mass immigration and, mostly, mena immigration. Old school communist are really good to seal borders ( for economic reasons, like massive devaluation of salaries ), see Fico in Slovakia , an old soviet communist. On the other hand you have woke left, like green party, that want open borders ( to suppress salaries ) like the liberals and they have an huge support by muslims ( that secretly hate them a lot )
I still don't understand how the very subtle lyrics "fuck you I won't do what you tell me" or even the "some forces burn crosses" could ever construed as anti-establishment or politically charged? Right guys?
TBH the line "some of those that work forces are the same that burn crosses" never made much sense to me because "those that work forces" is not commonly used (or used at all) to mean "the police". It only made sense to me when I learned that the original line was "some of those that wear badges" but RATM's record label made them (or maybe just convinced them to) change it because that was too inflammatory. I wish they'd go back to the badges line because that makes the meaning perfectly unambiguous.
Forces and Crosses have a similar cadence, also Forces covers police force, military force, and reservist forces all of whom crush the American dream when they are called in to break up protests and stifle free speech.
