Battleborn, the abandoned Gearbox FPS that was shut down two years ago, is somehow back again
Battleborn, the multiplayer FPS from Borderlands creator Gearbox, has somehow returned thanks to modders, years after it closed down.
Somehow…Battleborn returned.
There's a non-zero chance that this is Randy Pitchford trying to revive battleborn again. First was the battleporn subreddit he founded, now i'm pretty sure Gwog is just another alias.
Seriusly? I am SO FUCKING DOWN to finally play some more!
Played hundreds of hours of it, and the urge to pick it back up every now and then never went away after it shut down.
Edit: aww, it's only the single player missions, still, to just be back in-game will be great!

Surely they'll do just as well with this as they did with that other title they resurrected, Duke Nukem Forever.
This is a mod, not gearbox.
Battleborn was/is a genuinely good game that wasn't for everyone, but died because most who would have liked it, never gave it a go.
