V-8 to Return to Mercedes-AMG C-Class and E-Class Models by 2026
The C63 and E63 could soon accommodate a hybrid powertrain with the twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8 to assuage those not satisfied by four- and six-cylinder setups.
Surprised to see this, especially given current emissions and fuel economy standards. Nothing can beat the sound of a meaty v8

I'm not surprised that it's the amg models that are getting it but it seems like there might be a catch or something.
5 0 ReplyIt'l cost well over 100k and probably be some rare "limited edition" to draw up the price.
Mercedes + amg + hybrid will never be cheap.

Sounds like it's going to be very expensive.
1 0 ReplyAnd at least in my area it will be brought by those who have "100%" legit ways of earning money and will definitely respect the speed limit bear schools.

Personally, I’ve had a V8 a few years ago, but I can’t picture myself having another one when winters are disappearing in my country.
Still, I hope they injected a nice personality into the C63 4 cylinder hybrid setup and that it at least reduces the real world consumption.
