Capcom adds new DRM to old PC games, raising worries over mods
What an update to an old Resident Evil game on Steam means for Capcomâs approach to PC mods
Not only that, but Capcom seems to be adding this Enigma Protector bullshit to their back catalog as well, if this Steam forum discussion is to be believed. Bet this borks the games on Linux and Steam Deck now.
What the frick is their reasoning for this? Retroactively introducing DRM/anti-tampering does NOTHING but cause bad press and weary fans.

There should be a cutoff period for game updates. Give them about a year to finish the game they released and that's it.
