Ukraine’s national anti-corruption agency added Bacardi Limited to its list of international war sponsors, citing the company’s continued business and tax payments in Russia.

With Unilever, Mondelez and Procter & Gamble on that list, shopping for groceries and hygiene products might get complicated if you actually want to boycott all of them.

Feels weird to not see Nestlé on a list of big (food) companies doing questionable things.
- Mondelez and Unilever has their fingers in in so much stuff that even if you're trying to boycott them you probably aren't.

  Okay, so based on liquors, in 2021, $212 million in exports, $832 million in imports.
  
  Beer is $141 million in exports, $361 million in imports.
  
  Wine is $11.5 million in exports, $842 million in imports.
  
  So, yeah, you're right, I guess -- unless I've missed some sort of category of drink -- that Russia's definitely a net importer of alcoholic beverages.
  
  Who tf is importing Russian wine? They should be in the Hague just for trying to push that on the world.
  
  That doesn't count alcohol produced and consumed domestically. While they might import a lot, they might produce more and drink it themselves.
  
  I see not too many people outside of Russia are desperate enough to drink Russian wine, but more than I thought.
russians are known to be alcoholics - is it any wonder that a spirits manufacturer is doing business with a country of alcoholics?
- That's kind of racist, but also true.

- Which is crazy considering the Bacardi family had to escape from Cuba because of Castro’s takeover. So you’d think if any company would be against a hostile takeover, it would be them.
  
  Well its easy. That time it affected them. This time it's not. Also money.
  
  The US has been waging a hostile takeover of ethnic Russian areas of the Ukraine since 2014. Russia's special operation is primarily a defensive measures against this act of genocide.
Ukraine's desperation drives them to devise the most unconventional approaches to garner support. They seem to have overlooked the weapon manufacturers who have a vested interest in prolonging the war in Ukraine and everywhere for their own financial gain, yet he never mentions them.

  Yes, fuck Russia. However, are you trying to say that arms manufacturers aren't profiting from both sides of the war? Do you even understand how shady the international arms trade is? They have an interest in this war continuing in perpetuity in the name of profit.
