CD PROJEKT RED has announced several high-profile additions to the team working on Project Orion — the anticipated follow-up to Cyberpunk 2077 being headed up by the US and Canada-based CD PROJEKT RED North America.
Honestly, I played it at paunch and thought it was really good compared to other games. There were small missing features, but what was delivered was very polished. The thing that got them was performance issues on ps5. Starfield was on a way worse shape at launch and you can just tell that there are issues that will never get fixed.
They struck out one time, were pressured by fans and even their own country’s government to release the game despite them delaying it multiple times acknowledging how much work was yet to be done. The gaming community often cries about what they want, and when they get it they cry about what they said they wanted.
The game is incredible right now. They fucked up the launch for sure, but here’s hoping they learned from it. If they do it again then I think it’s warranted to start expecting it from them.
Also their current game engine is like playing whack-a-mole. They squash one bug and multiple others appear every patch. They’re moving to Unreal for Orion so hopefully it’ll be better in that regard as well. But for sure wait for launch reviews, don’t pre-order, etc etc. that’s common sense.
I tried to reply in English but this community does not allow me to set English as the post language. I wasn't able to comment in Norwegian, Swedish or Danish either. Please excuse me for communicating in English, but what is the proper language to use in this community?
What game are you referring to? In CP2077 you can very much skip dialogue, and also car rides. As to trapping you in rooms what do you mean? It’s one of the most open games I’ve played with no loading screens whatsoever and freedom to do basically whatever you want.
The beginning of the game was brutal for trapping you in a car, or on a couch, forcing you to talk to characters that you have no reason to cares about. My husband said that it gets better, but I wasn't willing to put up with it.
