I'm German, my knowledge about the eastern campaign in WW2 was quite limited. I've followed this war since it started, and every time I look something up, there is a parallel between now and then.

Every day I watch some guy on youtube take 20 minutes to show how some imaginary battle line has moved over another town I've never heard of and it's thrilling for some reason.
I now know even which way the Dnipro flows when describing the battlelines (left bank = east, right bank = west). I barely knew the Dnipro existed two years ago.
