Bouncing EAT gem sticks to me

I summoned an EAT 17 stratagem and it bounced and attached to me.

I tried running, rolling and screaming.

I was squished right before evacuating.

Yet another way I can kill myself apparently.
Did you have a shield backpack on? I think strategems can stick to those. But if you can drop it fast, you'll live.
