This is the reason I'm so underleveled rn. I got the game pretty close to launch but ragequit and refunded it after staring at the drop screen for two hours. Now that the server issues are mostly fixed I bought it again, but everyone else is so far ahead of me.
Getting everything you need is pretty easy. And if you really wanted you could just let someone carry you to impossible difficulty and just do defense missions. In 2-4h you should be lvl 20 and have most things you need.
2 or 3 hours? Each match is like 40 minutes.... I mean, I wish I could go back and start over, I love the game. But it's going to take MUCH longer that 2 to 3 hours to level to 20.If you nail everything on a mission you might.... maybe... level up twice at an early rank. But that's 40 minutes a rank most likely. Like 10 SOLID hours of playing. Not including the other bs getting into matches or failed missions.
Bought it today, had 90 minutes of fun, then game crashed and wouldn’t start again. Couldn’t find a fix that worked. I am in Linux so I assume that’s a big part of it but I still had to return it :(
If you don't rename/delete that folder between Proton version changes, files relating to both versions will combine, which can sometimes cause it to not run as it should. Local save games might be stored in there as well, so don't delete the folder before making sure your progress hasn't been lost (it's also in Steam Cloud but sometimes deleting local save games can result in sync problems).
I've been getting this a lot today for some reason. I thought it was my internet connection but it seems fine for everything else. Is there an issue with the new patch or have I broken something on my end?
In my experience I have found that verifying the integrity of my game files tends to fix issues with joining on friends and crashing ect. Takes 5-10 minutes or so but normally fixes the problem.
Based on the timing of this post I’m gonna say it was Steam maintenance since it hit me too, right as I dropped in a mission.
Plenty of shit to give the game, but people not knowing about Steam Tuesday maintenance isn’t part of that shit.
