It's our first wedding anniversary today and we agreed no pranks so we could relax and enjoy it. Not that either of us are the pranking type anyway really, but better to agree it out loud đ
My parents got married on March 31st. Story goes that, the morning after the wedding night, my mom went into the bathroom, came out a few minutes later fully dressed, said "April fools!" and walked out the door.
Didn't do a lot. Went for a coffee and a walk with my buddy. Asked him what he think of polygamy as one of topic to discuss. Then I brought up that I got second girlfriend, her name is April. He said okay, April. Then I added her last name is Fools. And he was like ugh. Got em.
I tried to prank my daughter yesterday, by saying that she had school today. But she just kept crying, because she didn't get it. So she kind of ruined the joke, but it was still funny.
One common prank I've been a part of is producing fake blue screens of death. It's known as being easy (take an image of a blue screen, put it in a slide program, and maybe add some random jumpscare or sound effect triggers) and is effective without "going too far". Nobody suspects the gal wearing the blue screen of death t-shirt, not even this year.
Also, someone saw I was stilltechnicallymourning from loss this week and gave me a fake lottery ticket thinking it would cheer me up. Har har har, I fell for it. Even asked someone for an on-the-fly ride to the store only to learn right then and there at the store I've been bamboozled (and now owe the person who rode me there ride money because I told him I'd pay him in some of the lotto winnings).
Haven't seen much today unfortunately, hoping that changes. I made a very short pixel art skit for today and posted it in a few places. April snuck up on me once again, so I'm glad I got anything up this time.
