- The FBI would be the one to investigates internal affairs, the NSA and CIA are supposed to be tasked for foreign investigations. The FBI at one point did an outstanding job of discovering corruption in our politicians at one point but they did such a good job congress made sure to neuter them so they could never do it again. Note on the whole Hungary thing:
In Hungary, territorial revisionism is very popular. A lot of people blame Treaty of Trianon for every ill Hungary gets, thanks to our education system being unable to teach nuanced statements like "maybe the Hungarians weren't always the heroes, and sometimes did bad things.
Adam Something used to have a video on the subject, detailing the lengths Hungarian education system went to Disneyfy some of our past crimes (thankfully, when it comes to the Holocaust, it only goes "dude, we absolutely got a gun held to our heads, what do you mean by the anti-Jewish laws?").
