Cool! I was wondering when Nobara would update. I heard there are a few bugs in the new Nvidia driver though.
Well I can't get an iso off of their own website to work so... Cool?
I've installed it on 2 computers recently without problem....
I've had very bad luck trying to ditch windows. I've been through 6 or 7 different distros trying to find one that works properly with my pc. Somehow I've landed on open suse? That one seems to be cooperating, for the most part, for now. This whole experience has really showed me that Linux doesn't "just work" for normal people though, and anyone who is adamant about that doesn't understand the general populations capabilities.
What are the new features?
Explicit sync support which fixes flickering for NVIDIA users at high frame rates and VRR enabled.
at high frame rates
For me it was the opposite, everything below the monitor's refresh rate (probably), so 60 Hz for me, flickers. As I have a 4k monitor and a 1070, it's extremely hard to find any game which runs at more than 30 FPS, especially story games (excluding games made with love and the intention to create something perfect, like Metro).
This driver is still beta, right? I'm not seeing release binaries on Nvidia's site. Just making sure I'm not missing anything.
It's still in beta indeed.
