AT&T customers facing 'nationwide issue' impacting their ability to call non-AT&T users
AT&T customers are experiencing a "nationwide issue that is affecting" their ability to call non-AT&T users, the company said in a statement.
This has happened before.
Kinda embarrassing this keeps happening
32 0 ReplyCall me cynical but it's also kinda convenient for AT&T! Hmm.
11 1 ReplyCall me cyclical, cause this keeps happening!
7 0 ReplyIs it? I don't know anyone who uses AT&T so it seems like a pretty minor inconvenience to everyone else and a major inconvenience for them. It's like if you were the only iPhone user and ALL texts were green! Android users would be like... K.

It's always something with AT&T. They always seem to have the worst service around here too.
19 0 ReplyT-Mobile will give your personal information to anyone that asks nicely.
I'm sure Verizon had their shortcomings too.
They all suck.
12 0 ReplyVerizon produced Ajit Pai. We're only just NOW undoing his bullshit.
17 0 ReplyThey sure do, but Verizon seems to have the best actual cell service, at least around here.
Same sort of thing as Comcast, they are a horrible corporation but the actual service is good.

All the engineers that kept the lights on at AT&T retired and they weren't backfilled / didn't properly transfer their knowledge to the next generation.
A tale as old as time.
17 0 ReplyI saw some AT&T workers picketing recently. Are they still on strike? Anyone know what was up with that?
7 0 ReplyThere's always someone picketing outside the local at&t office so idunno

I've had this issue for four years with text messaging, and ATT does not care. It is still an issue today.
