Well, that's pretty boring if the cows are fed a specific seaweed that makes cows burp less.
It would have been cooler if the seaweed was drawn to the methane from the cows and it was crawling out of the sea and then somehow strangling the cattle.
(Not that I want to kill cows, but that would make the story interesting)
