Google is Working on a Recall Feature for ChromeOS
In an interview this week, a Google vice president said that the firm was considering adding a feature like Microsoft Recall to ChromeOS.
"oh hell. someone is trying to be more evil than us! gotta fix that." - google, definately.
The virus is spreading
I think I just heard the collective facepalm of every lemmy user who clicked on this.
My face is getting pretty raw from so much facepalming lately.
But dont forget on Android any app can block screenshots. So their feature would work well better and be way more secure.
ChromeOS is extremely well made. It is very very secure, especially compared to Windows.
They can do that as they build the platform.
Still a stupid idea of course.
My crystal ball says this feature gets shut down within 3 years after it gets released.
