iPhones (like just about all apple products) are highly overpriced, overhyped, low quality and basically damn near impossible to repair. It's like buying some dumb Nike shoe for 1000 dollars, it really doesn't get you what you're paying for it.
Edit: not to mention the locking to the apple ecosystem. Now buy a mac laptop too with sup par quality components.
I’ll definitely give you impossible to repair, but everything else you wrote was wrong, I’m afraid to say. iPhones are pretty much on-par with high end android devices in terms of features, performance, etc. and iPhones often win out against comparatively priced Android devices. Same deal with Macbooks compared to comparatively priced high end Windows laptops.
Back when the M1 Macbook Pro released, it was one of the best value laptops to have been released in years, in terms of performance, battery life, features, etc. No high end laptop even came close.
The whole “locked in to the apple ecosystem” thing is just as true for every tech company, I don’t really understand why people seem to make such a big deal out of it considering it’s exactly the same on Android.
People love to hate on Apple fanboys, and there are definitely some people who refuse to acknowledge the terrible shit that Apple does, but the anti-Apple fanboys who criticise Apple for all the wrong reasons are just as blinded by their emotions!
