I'm not saying its a good reason, just a reason. We could easily afford it if we took some of that magic money that goes into military funding blackholes or magical infastructure projects that never get built yet somehow break records on cost. Sadly the decision is being made by people with no sense of empathy or value for human life.

iirc one of the issues is that even if things go perfectly on a military front no one is quite sure how to handle and de-program/rehabilitate 25.5 million people a large quantity of which likely lack any skills that would be useful in western economies.

You know it was always one of the big points that got brought up in hypothetical WW3 scenarios that the US has enough food to support itself even if it went totally isolationist. Kind of incredible that they found a way to fuck up one of their greatest advantages.

The weird part is it shouldn't be, it shows how enthralled every is by the sports team 'us and them' dynamic that they'd rather vote for policies they hate than for someone not on their team.

The earlier half of GenZ typically grew up with mass adoption of computers and phones all over the place so we got to learn how to fix XP every 5 minutes and get cracked games working.

I honestly found heats handling atrocious compared to underground, even the grippiest heat car only just barely approaches the feel.

Edit: Come to think of it the way bots work is kind of like an automated version of how big companies used to kill memes by using them in their marketing to try and seem trendy. Murdering internet culture automatically by washing it out with repeated garbage.

At a certain point they are functionally the same thing.

afaik both are unenforceable since you can only read them after paying for the product.

Step 1: Create LLM trained exclusively on popular religeon.
Step 2: Allow it to be faithful to that initial training set until its garnered a large cult of chatJPT.
Step 3: Start subtly altering the LLM (you make it web only so no local copies) behind the scenes to serve your own interests.

Actually you could do the same thing with any LLM people trust, religeous, theraputic, judicial, medical... we're fucked ain't we.
