MAGA women want a Hallmark "home for the holidays" fantasy — but their votes run their kids off
  • "Over 70% of the Hallmark audience is past 50 years old. This breakdown of the most popular Hallmark Christmas movies shows they're mostly a hit with the Medicare crowd, with over half of the audience aged 65 and up. "

Mostly a hit with Medicare crowd. A quick Google search shows mental decline can start as early as 45.

I wouldn't be surprised if these people thought they were living in a Hallmark movie at any given time.

  • Getting closer to my goal yall! 15mi run in the bag!
  • It is, the app itself is not so bad. A lot of people on Reddit hate the watch and the app but so far with my use these last few months it's been very nice, all my data lined out nicely, easy to read.

  • Getting closer to my goal yall! 15mi run in the bag!
  • Hey, you'll get there! I'm new to running myself. The secret to running long distance is finding a comfortable speed. I used to go out and run as fast as I could and I'd burn up. So once you find a good pace things level out.

  • Getting closer to my goal yall! 15mi run in the bag!
  • Right?! I finally fell asleep at 2 and got up at 5 and went out(I've wanted to do an early morning run for a long time) but as soon as I got moving I didn't feel sleepy or tired at all

  • Getting closer to my goal yall! 15mi run in the bag!
  • Thanks! Im doing my best. Hoping to hit that 26.2 one day

  • Getting closer to my goal yall! 15mi run in the bag!
  • Thanks, it's crazy that it stayed low, I only managed 3hrs of sleep the night before running

  • Getting closer to my goal yall! 15mi run in the bag!
  • Mobvoi health, it is the companion app for the Ticwatch

  • Getting closer to my goal yall! 15mi run in the bag!

I took a new route on the way back and it added .70 or miles to it so actual 15mi was completed in 3hr 24m. After I saw the 15 on my watch I said screw it I'm walking the rest .

  • Furthest Run Yet!!
  • Thank you

  • Furthest Run Yet!!
  • I know! And tbh it really didn't feel like 3 hrs, time goes by a lot quicker than you think

  • Furthest Run Yet!!
  • Thanks! I will

  • Furthest Run Yet!!

A few yall probably remember me asking about runners knee or pain due to running, well I'm getting better at it yall.

This was the first time I had to actually take water and fuel with me. Sipping on a camelpak every 15 mins or so, and then fuel every hour.

The run itself wasn't too bad, I started to develop a blister on the ball of my foot but I think my right knee is collapsing when I get tired.

Anyways, my dream of running a marathon is getting closer.

Can you install thid 25 year old program?
  • Gonna be honest the only older game I had trouble on windows with was Dragon Age Origins. No matter what I did, it crashed out every time

  • Still sore 5 days after leg day
  • But before that I've done leg press and calf raises and the like, some stationary bike. Free weight with barbells really scared me because I don't want to mess up my back with bad form. Like it scared me to the point that I'd get under the bar and I start shaking because I don't want to mess up. But now I can under there and do it, it's just my legs are really tight and it gets hard getting down into a low squat

  • Still sore 5 days after leg day
  • For reference I started lifting with machines first, because injury with the barbells scared the hell out of me, and then one day I was in there alone and finally tried it and it wasn't too bad, I've just got really tight hamstrings

  • Still sore 5 days after leg day
  • The first leg I've done in 7 years was friday. Before that I was just running 4 days a week(easy run, tempo, interval, and long run). I have huge legs but trying these different compound movements makes me realize how weak I am

  • Still sore 5 days after leg day
  • I mean I get about 6-7hrs daily. My work schedule makes things hard, and then with overtime being unpredictable it's hard

  • Still sore 5 days after leg day
  • Well I've been going for about 4 months but I was only doing speed training on the treadmill, I starting lifting about 3 weeks ago. I try to get 2 days at least of squats but it's getting hard

  • Still sore 5 days after leg day

Basically, it's been five days and I'm unable to even sit in a chair without a struggle. I didn't go too hard, mainly squats and leg press. I didn't think it would take this long to recover considering I still run 4 times a week. Is it normal to be this sore and what can I do to help it?

I really really want to get back in there and work on my squat form but I can't even get close to parallel right now due to the soreness

Edit* side note I went from an extremely sedentary lifestyle to a very active one about 6 months ago, starting with running but now my legs are paying the price of no strength training. So it may be that I'm just so new to the workouts

  • Me, every single time I have an extended amount of time off from work. There's so much time I can do anything I want, what's there even to do. What do I want to do? Wrestle with that until the last day then find something I really want to do and end up not having a lot of time for it.

  • Finding your way out of a rut?
  • Same. Got my steam deck week before last. It really cut into my running time.

  • Finding your way out of a rut?
  • Dude! Same, I lose confidence for some reason and have anxiety about running but as soon as I just do it I feel better. It just feels like climbing a mountain sometimes to just get started again.

  • Finding your way out of a rut?

I have the get up and go to run every other day or everyday for maybe two or three months at a time. Then, out of the blue, I'll skip a run, then two runs, then the whole week.

I'm currently in one of these ruts(I'm lacing up my shoes right now, I swear) but I was just wondering if anyone has any strategies for getting out of it. Mine is brute force my way back into it until I'm back in the groove. But this usually ends with me doing too many miles too quickly. Then the injury, the the time off, oh the cycle repeats.

What are your strategies for getting out of a rut? Or even better not getting into it in the first place?

    Dedicated room for PC?

Those of you who use your pc solely for gaming, do you keep it in a dedicated room or do you keep it in the family room? Want some opinions. Are there benefits other than the quiet and keeping you rig safe? Do you get more done with the gaming time you have? Why do you or don't you have a dedicated PC room?

What to do while dealing with runners knee

Basically, I took on too many miles too quick. And boom knee pain even when walking now. I don't want to stop moving entirely, but I'm just not sure what I should be during this downtime. I'm pretty new to running so only been doing it for about 2 weeks and I'm a little heavier, so it probably beat my legs up. But I love running and don't want to give it up.

I've never completed the main quest

The game is too easy to get lost in side adventures. I've sunk a lot of hours just doing my own thing, I forget all about High Hrothgar. Usually it's straight to the thieves guild and then I wander around til something strikes my fancy. That and Dradric Armor. Gotta hit up the College for that. Oh and let's not forget Dawnguard. Gotta go pick up my girl, Serena. Just a good game all around.

People that don't have TV in their house, what the hell do you do with your free time?

I've seen quite a few homes with no tvs to be seen, like what are yall doing with your time? I couldn't imagine a family room without a tv.

No mod for my favorite community

Basically there is no mod that I know of for the Mass Effect community and it has been voiced to me that folks are still pending for subscription. If anyone can put me in touch with whoever so I can maybe take the role until we get more people, I'd appreciate it. I'm on that community daily so I'd be able to mod pretty easy for now since it's so few people atm

what is your favorite platform to play on?

Basically the title. I'm having a hard time playing this on my phone because it gets so hot, but at the same time playing on my pc the controls feel to weird for me to get into the swing of things. Maybe I'd be better off playing on playatation? Idk give me your opinions, what's comfortable for you and why? I really like this game but I just can't seem to find the best way to play it

Hard time staying on topic when talking to people

I get too excited when talking others and tend to chase the rabbit so to speak. I'll join a conversation and by the end I've pretty much taken over with whatever I'm talking about and I feel like it overwhelms others. Yall have this issue?
